Turn and talk partners…

by alyssha@teachingandtapas.com

I love turn and talk partners so many times throughout my day! It is such a perfect strategy for letting everyone have a chance to express their thinking without having to call on each individual student. I am in charge of assigning partners and the partnerships last for about 3-4 weeks. For longer than I should admit, I did not have a system for keeping track of the partnerships. One of my incredible teaching colleagues created these cute signs.

Each name is attached by velcro so she can easily swap names out when she switches up the partners. Genius!

Velcro is so hard to come by at this time of year. So I had to improvise. I made the following simple little 8.5×11 page.

Lamination+vis a vis marker = simple solution! Download it HERE…for free (google doc).
